PROGRAMMING AND THE FUTURE OF CLUB CULTURE

Join us for a conversation with fabric’s Programming Director, Judy Griffith and a member of fabric’s promotions team, Kimi Otsuka. They will be sharing insights from across careers managing bookings and external events at the club, as well their thoughts on where club culture is heading next.

In this session, we will be discussing:

ABOUT JUDY

Judy Griffith is the Programming Director at longstanding music brand and renowned UK nightclub, fabric. Having been at the heart of fabric since its inception in 1999, Judy has played a pivotal role in the club’s success and growth, as a core creative force primarily in its Saturday night house and techno programme.

Judy is at the helm of fabric’s musical identity, responsible for curating a diverse range of events, booking international and local DJs, and overseeing the overall programming ethos of the club. Prior to her role at fabric Judy had experience working for the likes of renowned label Strictly Rhythm Records and home nightclubSince that time Judy moved to fabric, inspired by its core ethos and aims, and has become an essential part of the club’s operation and identity. She has a deep passion for the artists she supports and promotes, and is constantly on the lookout for new talent.

Committed to nurturing emerging artists and promoting underground music scenes, her role at fabric has given her a platform to promote a diverse range of music that represents different subcultures and genres. Her passion for booking emerging talent and continually supporting established artists has made her a respected figure in the industry and an integral part of the club’s success.

Recently she has made it her mission to be more visible and help to bring about change in the music industry by working on projects that focus on the elevation of women and people of colour within the industry.
