LESSONS IN MUSIC COPYRIGHT
Do you know why Taylor Swift is re-recording her back catalogue? Because she can. Because copyright. And contracts. And because it enables her to be control of her songs and make the money.
Understanding the rights that you have in your music or performance can help empower you to maximise their benefits, whether that means negotiating better deals or making sure you are collecting the royalties you are owed. It can also help you to manage risks by making more informed decisions, or in Taylor’s case, make very smart decisions.
In this workshop, Hayleigh will talk about what rights you have and ways to manage them. In fact, Hayleigh loves talking about all things copyright, so you can ask her anything you like about it!
