What is Saffron Members Club?

Saffron Members Club is an online community for women, non-binary people, trans and gender non-conforming folks. The club centres on connecting and educating people around the world in aspects of music production, sound engineering, DJing, music business and artist development, giving a platform for participants to take their music skills to the next level.

Who can join Saffron Members Club?

Our members club is only open to women, non-binary people, trans and gender non-conforming folks. However, if you do not fall into one of these groups, you can still support our community by purchasing a Saffron Member’s subscription for someone in who isn’t able to afford it themselves. Saffron allocates these on an anonymous basis and ensures they reach those who need it most. Pledge a monthly amount or a one-off donation via Paypal.

What’s included in a subscription?

Saffron Members get access to monthly online workshops, tech discounts as well as our online community platform, when you can connect with other women, trans and non-binary people across the world. We have three different membership tiers starting from 5.20 USD per month. Find out more about what is included in each of these tiers here.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time from here.

Can I access Saffron Members Club on my phone?

Yes, you can access out Members platform by downloading the Circle Communities app for Android and iOS and entering your Saffron Members login details.

How do I change membership tier?

You can now change your plan quite simply by clicking on your account icon at the bottom left of our online community space and selecting “Member billing.” Subscription options are accessed by clicking the three dots, then click “Change plan”.

When is payment taken?

If you have a monthly membership, payment is taken on the same date each month depending on what date you signed up. If you have an annual membership, payment is taken on the same date each year, depending on what date you signed up.

How come the prices of your membership tiers are listed in USD?

Circle, the online platform where we host our members club, currently only offers payment plans in USD, this means your monthly payments may fluctuate slightly depending on exchange rates.

How are your annual membership fees calculated?

Our annual memberships offer a 20% discount on the cost of 12 x monthly payments.

I can’t afford a subscription but would really like to get involved. What can I do?

We never want finances to be a barrier to people getting involved in music tech, so we offer a number of free memberships for those that need. If you are someone who would benefit from Saffron membership but are unable to afford it, you can fill out this form to apply for a bursary place.

I used to be subscribed to Saffron Members Club via Patreon, what happened?

We decided to move all of our members activity from Patreon to a new platform called Circle in January 2022. This new platform enables us to deliver all of our monthly workshops, resources and member perks in one place. It’s also better set up to accommodate our bursary members and for everyone in our community to interact with one another, via a members directory and discussion threads.

We have paused all billing cycles on Patreon, so if you haven’t cancelled your subscription with us there you will not be charged. If you would like to continue your membership, you will need to sign-up again via Circle. To do this, head to the members page of our website and click ‘sign up’ underneath your chosen tier.
